Introducing Members Match: A night to celebrate the people who make this club what it is

Some nights are about the opposition. Some are about milestones or big match-ups. But this Friday night, it’s about the people as we introduce our first ever Members Match at One New Zealand Stadium.  

On Friday 8 May, when the Crusaders take on the Blues, we’re shining a light on the thousands of members who turn up week after week, season after season, no matter what. They are the people who make this club what it is.  

A Crusaders Membership has always meant more than a seat, a scarf or a game day routine. It’s about belonging to something bigger. It’s about knowing this is your place, whether you’re in the stands, watching from home, or supporting from the other side of the world. You always belong here. 

Members Match is our way of saying thank you to all of our valued Members: those who were there at Lancaster Park, at Apollo Projects Stadium, and now at One New Zealand Stadium. 

Those who’ve followed us through every chapter – from titles won, to the rebuild after 2011, sticking with us when the scoreboard hasn’t gone our way, and standing shoulder to shoulder with us when it has. 

This Friday night, the spotlight shifts from the field to the stands. 

We’re also welcoming our students back for the Blues game – so expect big energy and passionate support coming from the Stables.  

We’re kicking off Members Match the right way with a Members Pre-Party - an exclusive members-only event before we take on the Blues. 

Join us from 5-7pm on The Lancaster (North Pad) at One New Zealand Stadium. 

We’ve packed The Lancaster with plenty to get amongst before kick-off, including bouncy castles, face painting, a photobooth and live DJ.  

Come down early, connect with fellow members, and help set the tone for a huge night at our first-ever Members Match. 

Plus, when you RSVP, you’ll go in the draw to have your member number screen printed onto your own merch item on the night. 

During the Members Pre-Party, four lucky members will be selected to go head-to-head with our non-playing squad in Quizsaders – the ultimate Crusaders trivia. 

Take out the top spot on the night and you’ll score a $200 Crusaders merchandise voucher. 

We’re also giving 15 members the chance to feature on next week’s official Members Team List. 

And during the match, there’ll be spot prizes every 10 minutes of play for members in attendance. 

Because whether you’re a member in Christchurch or supporting from further afield, this club is yours.
