Super Round returns to Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2027

Super Round is coming back to Christchurch!
DHL Super Rugby Pacific has confirmed the return of Super Round to One New Zealand Stadium from 2-4 April 2027, bringing all 10 Super Rugby Pacific teams together for three action-packed days of rugby in the heart of the city.
Following the success of the inaugural Christchurch Super Round in 2026, fans can once again look forward to a festival of rugby unlike anything else on the Super Rugby Pacific calendar. Five matches featuring all five New Zealand clubs, the Australian teams and Fijian Drua will take place across one unforgettable weekend at One New Zealand Stadium.
The action begins on Friday night with the Crusaders taking on the ACT Brumbies, before a full weekend of rugby sees all 10 teams in action.
Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge says the return of Super Round is a great outcome for Christchurch and rugby fans across the region.
"It's fantastic to see Super Round returning to Ōtautahi Christchurch after what was such a memorable event in 2026,” says Mansbridge.
"The weekend showcased not only world-class rugby but also our city's ability to host major events and create an incredible atmosphere for visiting teams and supporters. Having fans from across New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and the Pacific all coming together in Christchurch created something really special. We're excited to see Super Rugby Pacific build on the success of last year's event.”
The return of Super Round is expected to once again draw thousands of fans to Christchurch, delivering a major boost for the city while creating a festival atmosphere around one of rugby's most anticipated weekends.
Fans interested in attending are encouraged to register for updates through the official Super Rugby Pacific website. Ticketing information, pricing and on-sale dates will be confirmed by Super Rugby Pacific in the coming months.
