About
Tamaiti Williams played in Kerikeri High School’s Condor Sevens team until he received a scholarship to attend Saint Kentigern College where he joined their first XV, originally playing loose forward until he transitioned to prop.
In 2019, he was selected for the Crusaders Academy and the NZ U20 side, scoring three tries in five games. Tamaiti earned himself selection for the Māori All Blacks the following year, where he was the youngest member of the squad. Later in the year he was also selected for the All Blacks XV, beating Ireland A and narrowly losing to the Barbarians.
Tamaiti debuted for the Crusaders in 2021 coming off the bench for a 29-6 win against the Blues, and made his 50th appearance in 2025.
His Super Rugby performances led Tamaiti to an All Blacks selection for the 2023 World Cup.
Tamaiti is our ambassador for the Child Cancer Foundation, recently aiding the Crusade With Heart Foundation’s annual Long Run to raise money and awareness for the Foundation.
