Joe Moody

Joe Moody impressed during his debut season for the Crusaders in 2013, earning a call up to the All Blacks end of year tour which unfortunately didn't eventuate due to injury in the provincial Final.

He got another opportunity in 2014, despite only returning from injury late in the Super Rugby season, making five appearances for the All Blacks during the Investec Rugby Championship.

Although he missed out on initial selection in the 2015 Rugby World Cup squad, injuries to both Tony Woodcock and Wyatt Crockett saw him called into the team and he fronted with the best of them. In 2020, he played his 50th All Blacks Test.

A former rugby league junior and New Zealand wrestling representative, Joe won a junior Commonwealth Games bronze medal and competed at the world junior championships.

He became the 19th Crusader to play 100 games for the club in April 2021, and 2022 will be his 10th season of Super Rugby with the Crusaders.
