A member of the North Harbour side that shocked Canterbury at Jade Stadium in 2006 to claim the Ranfurly Shield for the first time in the union’s history, Tusi Pisi returned to the ground six months later to make his Rebel Sport Super 14 debut. The Samoan-born first-five-eighths became Crusader number 119 when he appeared off the bench against the Bulls, with the moment capping a significant six month period that also saw Pisi make his Test debut as a member of the Pacific Islands touring party in Europe in late 2006. His Test caps on that tour were earned against Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
