Scott Hansen
« Back

One of the more unknown members of the inaugural Crusade, halfback Scott Hansen at least had the satisfaction of finishing his professional career unbeaten, as his only Crusaders appearance ended in a 16-16 draw with South African side Western Province. A former national under-age representative, the Marist halfback stepped up to the professional ranks after featuring in three matches for the province during the 1995 Super 10 series. Hansen went on to add a further five Canterbury caps to his name in 1996, two of which came on the developmental tour of Argentina, although his opportunities were largely limited due to the emergence of All Black Justin Marshall as a key player both for Canterbury and the Crusaders. Hansen is currently the coach of the Marist Albion Colts and also worked with the Canterbury Colts coaching staff in 2006.
