Robbie Fruean
« Back
Physically dominant in the midfield, Robbie Fruean had an impressive 2011 Investec Super Rugby Campaign with the Crusaders.
A former IRB World Under 19 Player of the Year in 2007 following New Zealand’s championship win in Ireland, Robbie then underwent open-heart surgery to repair a condition known as pancarditis, a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the heart.
Robbie was the joint leading try scorer in the 2010 ITM Cup, making 10 touchdowns and went on to win the 2010 ITM Cup player of the year award.
