The most capped Crusader, and the country’s most capped international Test back, at the time of his departure from the New Zealand game in 2005, Justin Marshall was one of the most influential players that the Crusaders have fielded. Now domiciled inWales where he plays for the Ospreys in the Celtic League, the former Woodlands halfback arrived in Canterbury in 1995 having played 14 matches over the previous two seasons for his native Southland. He left a decade later having played 61 games for Canterbury, a then record 105 for the Crusaders, being the first player to surpass a century of appearances for the franchise, as well as having accumulated 81 Tests (including two Rugby World Cups) with the All Blacks.
