Julian White
« Back

White made his sole Crusaders appearance as a replacement against the Sharks in 1997, taking the field in rather bizarre circumstances as the Crusaders were forced to reshuffle their front row following the dismissal from the field of prop Stu Loe. White, who played most recently against New Zealand during the 20-41 Test loss at Twickenham in November 2006, was based in Dannevirke during his Kiwi sojourn, playing one match for Hawke’s Bay during their 45-10 dismantling of Central Vikings partners Manawatu in what was an official Vikings trial. Not subsequently required for the first muster of the ill-fated combined provincial team, White returned to England at the end of that season, but has been a recent visitor since, touring with England in 2003 and 2004, and with the 2005 British & Irish Lions.
