Grant Kelly
« Back

The tallest man ever to don a Crusaders jersey, Grant Kelly also appeared for King Country, South Canterbury and the New Zealand Maori during his representative career. Although he was an original selection in the 1996 Crusaders, the Burnside lock’s appearance at Brisbane against the Queensland Reds proved to be the only cap of his Super rugby career. He played four matches for South Canterbury in the NPC later that year on loan, before linking with King Country for the 1997 and 1998 seasons where he played 25 matches. Kelly’s three appearances for the New Zealand Maori team were earned against Waikato in 1995, and against Bay of Plenty and Manu Samoa a year later. Kelly now lives in West Melton.
