Graeme Dempster

« Back
The only player from South Canterbury to feature for the Crusaders while playing out of Timaru, Graeme Dempster had previously represented Otago in 1991, while at University in Dunedin. The ginger-haired first-five-eighths marked his Crusaders debut by kicking a dropped goal against the Blues at Lancaster Park. He was then called into the Canterbury squad as a loan player later in the year, kicking 18 points from six penalties during a one point loss against Wellington at Athletic Park, in what was his only representative appearance for the province. For South Canterbury, Dempster appeared on 31 occasions scoring 345 points, at the healthy average of 11 per game. He is now a registered accountant.
