George Whitelock

The captain of the victorious Canterbury team for the last three campaigns, George is a talented loose forward with strong leadership qualities. George is the eldest of four brothers in the Crusaders, with younger brothers Adam playing in the backs and All Black Sam cementing his position as starting lock for the Crusaders. Youngest brother Luke, has been selected for the 2012 squad.

George made his All Blacks debut against Italy in 2009, where he scored a try in front of a home crowd at AMI Stadium.

The son of a former Junior All Black, Braedon Whitelock, he captained the 2005 New Zealand Under 19 side and the New Zealand Under 21 side against Canada in 2007.
