Danny Love
« Back

A dual provincial representative for Manawatu and Counties Manukau, Danny Love was coming to the end of his representative career when called into the Crusaders as a reinforcement. Normally a first-five-eighths, Love played his one match as a Crusader from fullback. He then returned north after the first Super 12, rounding out his representative career playing for a Counties side that made it all the way to the NPC final in his farewell season. The Papakura first-five-eighths accumulated 671 points in his 53 games for the South Auckland union, also representing the New Zealand Maori side during his career. He is now Wellington based where he runs Kia Kaha clothing, which is best known as the producer of the ‘Cambo’ clothing range, as worn by New Zealand’s US Open golf champion, Michael Campbell.
