Often referred to as one of the world’s best first-fives, Dan Carter’s return to Investec Super Rugby will be eagerly anticipated after he suffered a tournament ending injury during the round robin of the recent Rugby World Cup.
After his Super Rugby debut against the Hurricanes in 2003, Carter is set to achieve 100 Super Rugby caps this season – he is currently sitting on 95 Super caps.
He currently holds the accolade of the highest points scorer in Super Rugby history (1272 at the end of the 2011 Super Rugby season). He also claims the highest points scorer in Test Rugby (1250), after surpassing Jonny Wilkinson during the 2011 season.
