Few players in the game can match the wide range of feats achieved by Dallas Seymour. Although he is best known for a 14-year career as a Sevens international, which included 35 international tournaments and a Commonwealth Games gold medal at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1998; Seymour also appeared on three occasions for the All Blacks in 1992. He also accumulated 47 games during two separate playing stints with Canterbury between 1988 and 1993 and then 2000 and 2002, as well as representing Hawke’s Bay in 36 matches between 1994 and 1996, and Wellington on 20 occasions from 1997 to 1999. The high energy openside flanker was a member of the Hurricanes original playing roster in 1996, and then 1997, featuring in eight matches, including the first ever Super rugby match between the Hurricanes and the Blues at Palmerston North in 1996.
