Campbell Johnstone

The foundation stone of the Crusaders and Canterbury scrums, Campbell Johnstone is one of two Crusaders props of Hawke’s Bay origin, with All Black Greg Somerville being the other. He played briefly for Hawke’s Bay in 2001. Johnstone gained international honours in 2005, also appearing for the Junior All Blacks in each of the last two seasons. One of eight players to appear in all 13 matches played by Canterbury last term, Johnstone scored three tries during the Air New Zealand Cup, taking his tally in the Canterbury jersey to 11.
