Former All Blacks lock Chris Jack will return to the playing field in New Zealand for the first time since his overseas sojourn when he plays for the Crusaders Development Unit against their Blues counterparts in Christchurch tomorrow.
Jack, a veteran of 67 Test caps and 89 Super rugby caps, has recovered from wrist surgery and will turn out for the Crusaders Development Unit in the match at Rugby Park which kicks off at 4pm.
Jack, 31, left for Saracens in England in 2007 and also played for Western Province in South Africa.
The Crusaders Development team also includes Crusaders squad member Daniel Bowden and wider training group members Andrew Olorenshaw, Quentin MacDonald, Joe Wheeler, Matt Todd, Ash Parker (captain), Willi Heinz and Tu Umaga-Marshall.
Crusaders centre Tim Bateman is unavailable due to a hamstring strain.
